Swimming Summer Conditioning Program
Daily training will consist of dry land exercises, running, stroke technique and mechanics instruction, interval and sprint training, starts, turns and race strategies. Also included, mental training, team work seminar and guest coaches. Various training methods will be utilized including videotaping.

El Toro High School!!
April 26, 2011: The Diablo Girls Open team showed its winning ways by beating the Chargers Girls Open team with a final score of 75-58. The girls started off the meet with a victory in the 200 Yard Medley Relay. Amanda Peterson took first place in the 100 Yard Individual Medley. The 50 Yard Freestyle was swept by Amanda Peterson, Paige Burbank and Amber Michael. Amanda Peterson took another top spot by winning the 50 Yard Butterfly. Emily Knudsen placed first in the 100 Yard Freestyle followed by her teammate Jade Flanagan in second. Another victory for the girls came in the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay. The final first place finish of the day went to Brenna Hession in the 50 Yard Breaststroke. Great job Open Girls!
The JV Girls came up just shy of a victory, but some notable swims include the first and second place finishes in the 200 Yard Freestyle by Samantha Potter and Carley Yegsigian. Danielle Lopez took first in the 50 Yard Freestyle followed by teammate Jill Miller in third. Danielle Lopez continued her winning streak by taking the top spot in the 100 Yard Freestyle.
The Varsity Girls had a very competitive day as well. Marina Spadoni placed first in the 200 Yard Freestyle followed by her teammate Olivia Hughes. Taylor Guy won the 200 Individual Medley and the 100 Yard Butterfly. The top spot in the 200 Yard Freestyle was taken by Olivia Hughes. Marina Spadoni came in first in the 100 Yard Backstroke. The final victory of the day went to the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay team of Taylor Guy, Sasha Westberg, Olivia Hughes and Marina Spadoni.

Aliso Niguel High School!!
March 29, 2011: The Diablo Girls Varsity team continued its winning ways by beating the Wolverine Girls Varsity team with a final score of 89-81. It was truly a team effort with every swim counting towards the victory. One of the tops finishes of the day included a win by Marina Spadoni in the 200 Yard Freestyle. Taylor Guy took first place in the 200 Yard Individual Medley followed by her teammate Olivia Hughes. Daniella Goni captured the top spot in the 100 Yard Breaststroke while Amy Belanger secured third place. The victory was also a result of several important second and third place finishes. Megan Leyds took second place in the 50 Yard Freestyle followed by Kimberly Macey in third. The second and third place spots in the 100 Yard Butterfly were taken by Taylor Guy and Kelsey Warkentin. Megan Leyds came in second in the 100 Yard Freestyle. Olivia Hughes and Sasha Westberg took second and third places in the 500 Yard Freestyle. Marina Spadoni and Rachyl Quan finished second and third in the 100 Yard Backstroke. Congratulations to the team on a very successful afternoon!
The Diablo Girls JV team had several very impressive swims as well. Carley Yegsigian placed second in the 200 Yard Freestyle while Katrina Kelly earned third place in the 200 Yard Individual Medley. Anna South took third in the 50 Yard Freestyle and Danielle Lopez did the same in the 100 Yard Butterfly. Katie Hansen won first place in the 500 Yard Freestyle followed by Samantha Potter in second. Danielle Lopez finished second in the 100 Yard Backstroke. The third place spot in the 100 Yard Breaststroke was earned by Anna South.
The Diablo Girls Open team fought hard in every race. Allie Moore placed third in the 200 Yard Freestyle. Jade Flanagan took third in the 100 Yard Individual Medley. The third place spot in the 50 Yard Freestyle went to Emily Knudsen while Amanda Peterson did the same in the 50 Yard Butterfly. Sarah Astor won the 100 Yard Freestyle. Amanda Peterson and Jenny Chapin took second and third place in the 50 Yard Backstroke. Sarah Astor secured third place in the 50 Yard Breaststroke.

The 200 Yard Medley Relay team of Marina Spadoni, Sasha Westberg, Taylor Guy and Kimberly Macey took first place. The 200 Yard Individual Medley was swept by Taylor Guy, Olivia Hughes and Rachyl Quan. Megan Leyds took first place in the 50 Yard Freestyle. The 100 Yard Butterfly was won by Taylor Guy followed by Kelsey Warkentin. Megan Leyds, Leah Atkins and Katelyn Feilmeier swept the top three spots in the 100 Yard Freestyle. The first place spot in the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay was taken by Olivia Hughes, Marina Spadoni, Taylor Guy and Megan Leyds. Daniella Goni won first place in the 100 Yard Breaststoke followed by teammates Amy Belanger and Lindsey Campbell. Finally, the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay team of Kelsey Warkentin, Jennifer Macey, Kimberly Macey and Leah Atkins came in first with the relay team of Nika Westberg, Katelyn Feilmeier, Daniella Goni and Rachyl Quan in second.

March 17, 2011: The Diablo Girls Varsity team beat the Breaker Girls Varsity team 120-46. The 200 Yard Medley Relay team of Rachyl Quan, Sasha Westberg, Kelsey Warkentin and Marina Spadoni took first place. The 200 Yard Freestyle was won by Marina Spadoni with Taylor Guy taking second. Olivia Hughes, Nika Westberg and Daniella Goni took first, second and third place in the 200 Yard Individual Medley. The 50 Yard Freestyle was won by Megan Leyds. First place in the 100 Yard Freestyle was earned by Taylor Guy with Kelsey Warkentin finishing in second place. The top three spots in 500 Yard Freestyle were earned by Sasha Westberg, Jennifer Macey and Daniella Goni respectively. The relay team of Taylor Guy, Marina Spadoni, Kelsey Warkentin and Megan Leyds took first place in the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay. Lindsey Campbell placed first in the 100 Yard Breaststroke, followed by her teammates Amy Belanger in second and Nika Westberg in third. Finally, the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay team of Taylor Guy, Olivia Hughes, Leah Atkins and Kimberly Macey came in first place. Great job girls!

104-34. The 200 Yard Medley Relay team of Samantha Potter, Anna South, Danielle Lopez and Katie Hansen took first place. The 200 Yard Freestyle was swept by Katie Hansen, Brittany Lugo and Samantha Potter. The 100 Yard Individual Medley was won by Daniella Lopez. Lauren Feilmeier took first place in the 50 Yard Butterfly followed by teammate Samantha Potter. The 100 Yard Freestyle was won by Natalia Nava with Katrina Kelly in second place. The team of Anna South, Jeanette Sandborn, Carley Yegsigian and Sarah Astor took first in the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay. The 50 Yard Backstroke was won by Lauren Feilmeier, Carley Yegsigian and Katrina Kelly. Anna South, Katie Hansen and Maria Mejia swept the 50 Yard Breaststroke. Finally, the relay team of Anna South, Danielle Lopez, Maria Mejia and Samantha Potter took first place in the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay followed by the relay team of Carmen Guzman, Natalia Nava, Carley Yegsigian and Sarah Astor in second.

March 2, 2011: The Diablo Girls Varsity team beat the Hawks Girls Varsity team 95-75 in a meet filled with great competitive swimming. The 200 Yard Medley Relay team of Marina Spadoni, Olivia Hughes, Taylor Guy and Kelsey Warkentin came in first place. The 200 Yard Freestyle was won by Marina Spadoni with Olivia Hughes taking second place. The 50 Yard Freestyle was won by Kimberly Macey. The 100 Yard Butterfly was swept by Taylor Guy, Jennifer Macey and Katelyn Feilmeir. The 200 Yard Freestyle Relay team of Taylor Guy, Marina Spadoni, Jennifer Macey and Kelsey Warkentin took first place. Finally,
Marina Spadoni won the 100 Yard Backstroke.
The Diablo Girls JV team also won their meet with a 109-59 final score. The 200 Yard Medley Relay team of Carley Yegstigian, Katrina Kelly, Danielle Lopez and Leah Atkins placed first with second place going to the Diablo team of Samantha Potter, Sarah Astor, Maria Mejia-Henao and Carman Guzman. Carley Yegstigian won the 200 Yard Freestyle while Leah Atkins, Danielle Lopez and Jessie Park swept the 50 Yard Freestyle. The 100 Yard Butterfly was won by Samantha Potter and the 100 Yard Freestyle was won by Katie Hansen. The 200 Yard Freestyle Relay team of Maria Mejia-Henao, Danielle Lopez, Sarah Astor and Allie Moore took first place. Samantha Potter won the 100 Yard Backstroke followed by Carley Yegstigian in second. Leah Atkins placed first in the 100 Yard Breaststroke. Finally, the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay team of Leah Atkins, Danielle Lopez, Maria Mejia-Henao and Giuliana Sobrero took first with the relay team of Carmen Guzman, Katrina Kelly, Samantha Potter and Carley Yegsigian in second.
The Diablo Girls Open team did not win their meet, but some notable victories included Amanda Peterson and Jade Flanagan taking first and second place in the 100 Yard Individual Medley, Paige Burbank winning the 50 Yard Freestyle and Anna South placing first in the 50 Yard Breaststroke. The 200 Yard Freestyle Relay team of Jeanette Sandborn, Paige Burbank, Angelica Torres and Amanda Peterson took first place as did the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay team of Anna South, Jade Flanagan, Jeanette Sandborn and Amanda Peterson.
